It's no home run, but it's funny enough.  Jason Sedakis and Owen Wilson team up as a couple of 40 year old married guys that don't get enough action at home but think if they were back on the market that they would still be killing it.  Their wives get fed up and decide to give the fellas a one week "hall pass" to do whatever they want to get it out of their system.  This, of course, is when they find out they have zero game and can't hook up with every good looking girl they see.  In fact, they just can't hook up period.  I think they made Owen Wilson's character to much of a tool.  I don't think anyone can be that clueless.  Sedakis makes up for it and delivers some good stuff.  The Farrelly Brothers serve up more of their usual low brow gross out humor that works just fine if that's what you're looking for.  Bodily fluids, crude humor, nudity ( & dudity) all abound.  BE WARNED!

Wow!  What a great flick!  Giamatti is at his best playing this self destructive asshole reflecting back on a life full of bad decisions and good times getting hammered and laid.  Dustin Hoffman plays his ex cop father that is always there for him through thick and thin with whit and charm.  Barney is a low budget film producer looking for love in his early days and finding it on his wedding night but with another woman.  The pursuit leads to a life he had hoped for but his self destructive tendencies get in the way and he screws up the one thing that matters most.  This is a great story of the marathon of life and the reflection upon decisions made during the journey.

Shoot me already.

Another exorcism movie....yawn.  The Exorcist took care of this and The Rite doesn't bring anything new.  Yes, Hopkins is a perfect fit for this and does a great job, but the surrounding cast and ridiculous storyline keep his brilliance in check.  Enter Colin O'Donoghue who plays an ever brooding atheist mortician that decides to become a man of the cloth and face his skepticism head on.  Evil has become more prevalent in the world, and so has demon possession (of course) so the Catholic Church decides its time to beef up their squadron of Exorcists. What better way to convert an atheist than to have him witness a few good old fashioned exorcisms?  Enter the possessed.  It's comical how O'Donoghue remains skeptical even after seeing a woman vomit very large blood soaken nails, speak another language in a man's voice, and talk to him about things in his past that could obviously not be known.  Ahhhh, ever the skeptic.  The demons are relentless and finally convince him they are real.  I'll leave it at that.  I think this is a recruiting video for the priesthood....I guess.  It didn't make me want to sign up but if fear tactics and supernatural craziness spook you enough to commit, then check your penis at the door and get your robe!  My favorite touch to this movie is the line before the movie starts "This move inspired by true events".  Inspired - nice smokescreen.

This might be the best I've seen in 2011.  Get Low is right there in my mind but the history of this story might put it over the top.  Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush give crazy good performances and I thought either one could have been nominated for leading role, but what do I know.  Fascinating story of King George VI and how he came to the throne while battling a stammer that threatened to give loss of confidence to the British people during a time of international crisis and impending war with Germany.  This is NOT a boring movie.  Go see it!

Well, what can I say.  This movie has a little bit of fun for everyone!  Wasn't really sure about seeing a movie about ballet, but there is so much more to this freaky flick.  It's pretty creepy and intense and makes Inception seem very easy to follow.  Still not sure what really happened and what was a figment of Portman's imagination (think Fight Club).  Mila Kunis might not win an Oscar, but she should get a nomination at the Adult Film Awards for Best Soft Core Lesbian Scene.  She's getting my vote anyway.  This film is racking up awards left and right and it should.  It delivers an experience that will stick with you for some time.
